37 weeks... 1 week to go

So one week until these little girls are here. I cannot wait. Yes, I am nervous about having a c-section, but my body is so done being pregnant that I want them out, NOW!! My thighs and knees are killing me and so swollen that they barely bend. I just pray that I am not even more swollen after these babies arrive because my legs might seriously burst! We finally finished the twins room and put together some bouncy seats and swings. We still need to install the car seats though... nothing like waiting until the last minute!

How far along? 37 weeks 1 day
Weight gain/loss: +35lbs... I was very surprised how much the scale was up this week since I have been throwing up every day, not eating much... but I think its just from the babies growing and the crazy amount of swelling that I have.
Maternity clothes? Since I'm not working I sit around in the same pajamas everyday. I have to admit, I am loving it!
Stretch marks? Yup got some new ones going horizontally across the top of my belly... and they are continuing to stretch... also got some bumpy feeling ones on my lower abdomen... ugh.
Sleep? Sleep??? What's that? Between this cold and being so uncomfortable I don't get much of it.
Best moment this week? Knowing I only have 7 more miserable days being pregnant and finishing the twins room!
Food cravings: dying for some sushi!
Gender: Definitely two girls (had the u/s tech check again)
Belly button in or out? just flat now
Movement? Moving around and trying to poke their way out.. I always have a little bulge here and there.
What I miss? Being able to sleep comfortably.. I really really miss this!
What I'm looking forward to: My last u/s and appt on Friday!!
Weekly wisdom: I love my little princesses!
Milestones: They are the size of watermelons!!

36 weeks

Under two weeks until these babies arrive... not that I am counting or anything! Well this was my first official week of maternity leave. It was tough for me to decide to stay home, but my body just can't take it anymore. My legs are so swollen that I can barely walk, and yesterday was my last day of driving. The worst is the swelling at my knees and thighs. It is just painful. I had an appt with my OB yesterday and got a surprise internal and of course its like Fort Knox up in there. There goes any hope of these babies coming early!! I am sure they will be in there until November 2nd when they are evicted! I have another BPP u/s later today and I really hope they check how big the babies are. I am very curious!

Update: So I had my BPP u/s and of course they did not measure the girls. However both continue to make lots of breathing movements and are wiggling around like crazy. This time we didn't have any issues with the heart rates. So basically the appt was very uneventful. We scheduled one more appt for Friday, October 29th. So one more u/s and one more appt with my OB. Then it's baby time!!

How far along? 36 weeks 4 days
Weight gain/loss: +34lbs... I was very surprised how much the scale was up this week since I have been throwing up every day, not eating much... but I think its just from the babies growing and the crazy amount of swelling that I have.

35 weeks...

Quite an interesting week! My wonderful cold came back to haunt me on Sunday, got worse Monday and Tuesday! So Wednesday I called to make an appt with my doc to get some more medicine. Well around 2:15pm while at school things went blurry and I couldn't see straight. Ended up leaving my classroom and had to call the school nurse. She took my BP and found it was elevated. We called my OB who said to come on over. Thankfully the school nurse was able to drive me over, where they had me lay down for 20 minutes and then took my BP again and luckily it went down and the spots went away. They sent me home to rest and lay down. They said to call if it happened again. Well around 6pm it happened again while just laying on the couch. So I called and they said if it didn't go away in 30 min to head to the ER. It went away. I told DH if it happens again we are going to the ER. Of course around 10pm things got really blurry so we headed to the ER. I was quite the talk of the ER since I am 35 weeks pg with twins. Around 2am they sent me home and since all my labs came back fine they felt it was probably just from the sinus pressure from my cold. They put the babies on the monitor while I was at the Birthplace and it was nice to hear the babies heartbeats. I am glad they are doing well and still hanging in there!!

I went to my primary doctor yesterday and got some more meds. More anti-biotics and am now taking regular Sudafed (ya know the kind people make meth out of). I have to say that stuff works way better than the other stuff I had been taking. I am hoping I feel much better by Wednesday so I can get my flu shot and pass the benefits on to the babies!

Will update later after my u/s! Here is my update: So I went for the BPP u/s. During the u/s Baby A's heart rate was in the 180's to 200's so the peri was concerned so she sent me to the Birthplace to have a NST done. Of course we were having company for the weekend so my husband met us there with his friend who had just flew in. I had to have MIL come with me because she didn't want me going alone. Of course Baby A's heart rate was fine while we were there, but they also mentioned that I was having some contractions. I kinda laughed cause i had no idea. I continued to have more contractions throughout the weekend, but they have since disappeared.

How far along? 35 weeks 4 days
Weight gain/loss: +28lbs... could be more, but my scale is now broken so I'll have to wait until my next appt on the 20th!
Maternity clothes? Running out of clothes that really cover my whole tummy! Someone needs to make a line of clothes for women pregnant with multiples. (Still feeling the same about this comment!)
Best moment this week? being home from work for two days!
Food cravings: dying for some sushi!
Gender: Definitely two girls (had the u/s tech check again)
Belly button in or out? In, but flattening
Movement? Moving around and trying to poke their way out.. Baby A needs to stop kicking my ribs!
What I miss? Being able to sleep comfortably.. I really really miss this!
What I'm looking forward to: u/s today! Will update later but they are now checking the babies' breathing motions and basically seeing how ready they are to be born.

34 weeks!

So I have totally neglected to post the last couple weeks. Ooops. Life has been crazy. We are working on fixing up and painting the house. Everything downstairs is just about set, just need some curtains for the playroom and a new toilet for the bathroom. Upstairs, well thats another story. The twins' room is all painted and the cribs are put together. Now my wonderful husband just needs to put the curtains up and put together the dresser. Hopefully their room will all be done next weekend. Our former kitchen sits and sits. We are hoping to be able to paint it this weekend. I am getting really stressed out with everything that has to be done! Not to mention I haven't done any work for my CAGS class and there are only two classes left! Oy, the work I have to do.

Oh yeah, did I mention I also have a cold? Thanks MIL! I had to take off work today and go to the doctor because the coughing is killing me. I'm on a bunch of meds, so hopefully they will help!!

I am also soooo done being pregnant. My stomach is killing me, the swelling is out of control and I am just miserable. At my OB appt on Friday I was measuring 47 weeks.... yes at just 34 weeks along, I am now measuring 13 weeks ahead. I cannot imagine how much worse things are going to get in the next 4 weeks. I have a feeling that in 3 weeks I am going to be begging my OB to get these babies out!!
